Brief Overview Mount Zion Cemetery has been meeting the burial needs of the Jewish Community for more than a century. Our first burial took place on May 5, 1893. To date we have made more than 210,000 burials. Mount Zion Cemetery is governed by and acts in accordance with the Not-For-Profit Corporation Laws of the State of New York. This cemetery is rich in heritage and provides a sense of nostalgia. We have both individual gravesites as well as family plots available. We suggest that you make an appointment to select your gravesite however; every effort will be made to accommodate walk-ins.
